Me Before You

She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair-bound after an accident. WIll has always lived a huge life – big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel – and he is not interested in exploring a new one.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy – but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, Lou sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common – a heart-breakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?

I learned about this book when I saw the trailer that was shared on Facebook. I went to the nearest bookstore and thank God! I got their last copy! 🙂

So, basically, I did my predictions before reading this book. I predicted that the guy is sick (maybe cancer or whatever) and has a few months to live — but I was wrong!! so so soooooo wrong!!! — I don’t like to spoil you! — just go read the book!!

This book is so great! Unpredictable ending… 😦 I love the character of Will and Lou. I love how they “click” despite the differences. I just wished that I can read or I know the point-of-view of Will –  I want to know what he was thinking.

Basically, this book made me read again. Of course, I need to find another book so that I will stop thinking about this. But still, until now, I’m working on getting over it. Literally, this book broke my heart.

Lesson learned: You can never force someone to live.
