Since You’ve Been Gone

since-youve-been-gone-finalIt was Sloane who yanked Emily out of her shell and made life 100% interesting. But right before what should have been the most epic summer, Sloane just … disappears. All she leaves behind is a to-do list. On it, 13 Sloane-inspired tasks that Emily would normally never try. But what if the could not bring her best friend back?

Apple Picking at night? Okay, easy enough.

Dance until Dawn? Sure. Why not?

Kiss a Stranger? Um…

Emily now has this unexpected summer, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected), to check things off Sloane’s list. Who knows what she’ll find?

Morgan Matson. Morgan Matson. Morgan Matson. Her stories are really interesting and her style of writing is very engaging. This story will make you laugh, will make you sad, will make you angry, will make you in-love.

This is a story of the friendship of Sloane and Emily. Sloane is the extrovert, happy-go-lucky girl and Emily is the shy, silent and introvert type of girl. Emily has no other friends except for Sloane. They are always together and almost did everything together… until Sloane suddenly disappears.

Emily tried to find her but she doesn’t have any clue where her bestfriend went… Then she received a letter from Sloane which contains a to-d0-list. At first, she was hesitant to do it because she never did these things without Sloane… but she believed that the only way to find Sloane is by doing these things on the list. With the help of Frank Porter, and other new found friends, she was able to do all of these! — and she was able to find Sloane!! (how?? – read it! 😉

Oh! Btw, there are playlists! I rated this 4 stars just because I want to know more about Frank and Emily. What happened after they left Sloane.

LESSON LEARNED: Just believe in yourself.
